NATHAN CROSS, Totem Technologies

Nathan is a Cybersecurity Engineer at Totem Technologies, a small business prime U.S. Air Force contractor. He is also a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University, where he is pursuing his Master’s in Information Security Policy & Management. He specializes in small business cybersecurity, particularly within the Defense Industrial Base, where he has experience assisting DoD contractors in meeting CMMC requirements. He is the lead instructor for a quarterly Small Business Cybersecurity Essentials workshop hosted by Totem Technologies, and he has presented on small business cybersecurity at multiple conferences, including the 2023 America’s SBDC Annual Conference and the Three Rivers Information Security Symposium. Nathan is passionate about helping small businesses reduce cybersecurity risk in a cost-effective manner.
