Description
The federal government views the term “subcontracting” very broadly and expects prime contractors to spend prime contract funds using the same regulations the government does. Therefore, prime contractors become stewards of taxpayer money and must comply with proper procurement rules.
This course will provide a foundation for prime contractors in such topics as regulations, procurement planning, procurement execution, flow-downs, policy, documentation, and overall nuances between procuring under a government prime contract and typical commercial procurement.
After taking this course, you will
- Understand the most critical regulatory elements of a prime-subcontractor relationship.
- Know how to ensure a subcontract is appropriately built and negotiated.
- Understand best practices as a prime contractor to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
Target Audience: Companies pursuing contracting opportunities with the federal government
