This course is designed for new firms taking their first steps in the government marketplace. In this course, you will learn how to use market research to zero in on your target agencies, and select the right NAICS codes and Product Service codes to optimize your positioning as a contractor.
In addition, we explain how to:
- obtain a free DUNS number
- register in the System for Award Management (SAM)
- properly set up and optimize an SBA profile
We also discuss similarities and differences between federal contracting and doing business at the state and local levels. In conclusion, we explain how PTAC can offer support in helping small businesses get started in their government market pursuits.
