Join us for an in-depth look at the roles and responsibilities of the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and the various types of audits conducted throughout the acquisition lifecycle. This presentation will provide an overview of DCAA’s audit process and highlight common communications contractors can expect during audits. While every audit is unique, small businesses often have similar questions about the process. Attendees will gain insights into the importance of adequate assertions, scheduling entrance and exit conferences, maintaining communication throughout the audit, and handling auditor site visits and information requests.

    Ms. Katelyn Rigle is the Operations Audit Liaison Small Business Coordinator for DCAA, headquartered at Fort Belvoir, VA. Ms. Rigle has been with the agency since 2009 and currently acts as the agency’s small business liaison, offering education, guidance and support to small and medium businesses working in the Federal contracting realm. Ms. Rigle also coordinates training through the Small Business Administration, APEX Accelerators, and federal consulting firms.

    Ms. Rigle graduated from King’s College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting as well as Strayer University with a Master of Business Administration, concentrating in Government Acquisition.
