Virtual Incident Procurement (VIPR) is a web-based Forest Service application designed to administer preseason Incident Blanket Purchase Agreements (I-BPAs – formerly referred to as Emergency Equipment Rental Agreements or EERAs). This training covers all the steps needed to successfully get your equipment in VIPR.
Part 1 will cover the following:
- Equipment under VIPR each year – including changes and the onboarding process
- Where and how to register
- SAM
- Important websites
- Researching previous year’s pricing
Part 2 will cover accessing VIPR, authenticating/uploading your photo ID (replaces eAuthentication), and completing your profile. IROC to the status of your equipment.
Target Audience: Businesses interested in contracting their equipment for wildland fires with the Forest Service.
