Description

For any business pursuing government contracts, it is critical to understand the applicable rules and regulations. But the Federal Acquisition Regulation is lengthy and complex–and contractors may also need to follow rules outside the FAR, such as those found in FAR supplements and the regulations of the U.S. Small Business Administration. State and local contracts ordinarily aren’t subject to federal contracting regulations, but finding and understanding the applicable rules presents its own challenge.

Finding and understanding the applicable rules can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be that way. This course will help you learn to dissect the FAR and other procurement regulations. You’ll learn how to identify which rules apply to you, which rules you can safely ignore, and how to more quickly find what you need in the vast federal regulatory landscape.

Here’s a snapshot of our course agenda:

  • How to navigate the Federal Acquisition Regulation, including a FAR roadmap and breakdown to make it easier to find what you need
  • How to access and navigate other federal contracting regulations, such as the DFARS, VAAR, and SBA regulations
  • How to identify which of the many federal contracting regulations apply to your business–and which you can ignore
  • How to identify the state and local contracting rules that apply to your business, and where to go for assistance to better understand these rules

Target Audience: Small business owners/officers/contracting personnel, large business contracting personnel, APEX Accelerator counselors

I attended today’s presentation hosted by Govology, featuring Steven Koprince, Govology Legal Analyst. The session focused on the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and related topics, and I must say, it was an enlightening experience.

First and foremost, Steven Koprince’s delivery was exemplary. His ability to break down complex regulatory frameworks into easily digestible concepts was commendable. Throughout the session, he maintained a pace that ensured everyone could keep up, regardless of their familiarity with the subject matter. This made the presentation not only informative but also incredibly accessible.

What truly set this presentation apart, however, was its practicality. Unlike many government presentations that tend to be theoretical and detached from real-world application, Koprince’s session was highly implementation-oriented. He provided attendees with tangible tools and strategies that can be immediately put into practice. This is a rarity in government training events, and it was refreshing to see such a pragmatic approach.

By the end of the presentation, I felt equipped with a clear roadmap for navigating federal solicitations. Koprince did not just impart knowledge; he empowered attendees with actionable insights that can make a real difference in their professional endeavors. This is invaluable, especially in an environment as complex as government contracting.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Govology for organizing this event and for securing such a knowledgeable, relatable, and quality instructor in Steven Koprince. The combination of Govology’s platform and Koprince’s expertise made for a truly enriching experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this presentation to anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of FAR and enhance their ability to respond to federal solicitations effectively.
